Transfer Your Brain?
With all the advances in the world, Elon Musk has now said, humans will soon be able to download themselves into a robot. The suggestion of living forever. Humans seem to always want to be God. If we don't have a relationship with Jesus, we have nothing to look forward to. No eternity, no heaven, nothing. It's astonishing to think that life has become so commercialised that when we grow old, we will seemingly have an opt-out option. The people around us will not experience ou

Houston we have a problem...
We bought an old house which we have been slowly renovating. The first big job was a full re-wire, which meant putting number of the upstair floor boards up, finding all the things that were down right dangerous that the previous owners did (always cutting corners). The kitchen used to be two smaller rooms, which we knocked into one. The floors were at difference levels the roof had seen better days. So everything was ripped out, dug up and replace with new, also a new roof

Ordination
I never thought I would be writing this blog. At the beginning of 2024, I felt God speak to my heart 'You need to be accredited for the journey ahead'. Ordination has been a possibility several times over the years, but because I have been working across the whole Church, I never felt aligned with just one aspect of it. Shortly after receiving an honorary doctorate from Kennedy University of Baptist, I travelled to South Africa, where I received ordination from a very close f

Honorary PhD
Not bad from a boy from the Welsh Valleys with little academic achievement. When I consider everything that has happened in my life, it's been so far an incredible adventure, powered by God. I had no idea when I left school that I might be travelling to 50 countries, 300+ trips. Meeting so many people and cultures. That I would hold a directorship at the UK's largest Christian broadcaster. That I would raise and spend (£200 million+) so much money across so many projects in t

55 today
I was in Uganda this year during the time of my Birthday. So lovely to be back at Pearl Haven Christian Centre as the Keynote speaker for the Easter Convention. It's been 14 years since I last travelled there. The building is complete and looks very impressive. During the week-long convention, they have a Pastors' breakfast in what was the old building behind the new Church. It was lovely to be sung Happy Birthday by 200 Ugandan Pastors.

The Santid Family
It has been such a joy to reconnect with Santid. I first met him in 1998 and we lost touch over the years. Since then, he got married to Birungi and they have four children, Vera, Vida, Verney and Vihan. We've become like family. Santid and Birungi have no parents and the children have no grandparents, so we decided let's fix that. So Santid and Birungi call me dad, and the kids call me Grandpa. It's so lovely. It did take a bit of explaining to Rebekah, when I let he know,

Capttain Brettle (Star Trek)
The early stages of AI allow all sorts of funny moments and things. There was a recent AI app on social media which allowed the user to place themselves into a hero character of a global TV series, as a promotional for sale character. I just found this funny. If you don't understand, search for Star Trek from the 1980's you'll get it soon enough.

Royal Albert Hall - Christmas
We've always intended to do a Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall and after several years of procrasinating, we finally did it, and did it in style. Taking a family with us and both of Reuben's grandmothers, we set off for London, staying outside of the M25 overnight and then travelling into London in a private hire minibus for the day, for an incredible £160. Booking seats close to the event would have made it impossible for the eight of us to sit together, so I bit the

Imani 365 volume 1
I'm so excited to be able to bring together one years worth of devotional content into a hard cover book. Imani (Formally Faith Lift) is a short daily reading which always includes a bible verse, quote, prayer and action point. Writing a devotional is no easy task. Lots of prayer, research, planning and of course actual writing. Now having a few hundred written, it is time to produce an annual version. To read this for free digitally Click Here .

Neighbours at Christmas
Each year we reach out to our neighbours with little gift bags to around 70 of them. There's a little card, a chocolate some kind of Christian gift, and invite to an open house that we do just before Christmas. We also include a local social action project we all as neighbours could get behind. This year we asked neighbours to give items to children who have been in foster care, who have since needed to leave because of their age. They have about two years then in transitiona

What is Imani?
God has led to a point where the future will come into one thing, Imani. Coming back from Uganda, via Rwanda, I couldn't sleep; the word 'Imani' was going through my mind the whole flight. I'd never heard it before and didn't know what it meant until we landed. Having done so much travelling, particularly in Africa, I'm so pleased that Imani will be the title and brand for the future. Imani means 'FAITH' in Swahili. So it's a fitting name for our future. Click Here to read t

Norway
I had always wanted to travel to Norway. Hearing so much about the scenery, the society and of course the people, the fact that we could combine this with a cruise made it happen this year. It was disappointing at the start and the end, where our ship couldn't get to the cruise terminal in Amsterdam because of climate crusaders blocking its entry, and then the cruise company decided to come back one day early to get to the terminal before the crusaders could strike again. Going Bald
My grandfather, my father and now I, have gone bald. Unfortunatly my dad, did before it was complete. I noticed a small island of hair had developed above my forehead, so when I had a couple of hours to spare in London, I thought, lets see what I look like if the island was shaved off LOL. When I saw the result, my mind immediately though I looked like the semi-bald professor in the Simpsons. So I bit the bullet and decided to go head naked so to speak. I haven't looked back,

My Little Office
Before Covid, I had a lovely office near to where I lived. I could walk to work and had everything all in one place, book stock, staff and all the office technology that was needed to work day to day. When Covid hit, a few things happened. First of all we were told we couldn't access our office. Our landords decided we couldn't access our office for six months, while still charging us for rent. I couldn't access my big computer, I could fulfil orders, I could see the people I

Florida
We had always said that when Reuben was old enough, we would travel to Florida for a big holiday. That we would take Grandma as a thank you for all of the child care she provided us while Reuben was growing up. COVID put a spanner in the works, and we decided to wait for two years. It costs a small fortune to do this, and we had been saving up for a while, as well as Rebekah doing a load of extra shifts to pay for the holiday. We had a blast, two weeks in Florida doesn't scra
