Feeling Thankful

Updated: Jan 6, 2019

We've just had a lovely run up to Christmas, and certainly a lovely Christmas Day.

This time last year, I was a little burnt out, suffering from some medical problems and wifey was also going through some things, which made for a less than ideal Christmas time.

As I look back at what changed, it needed honesty and effort to make some course corrections in a few areas of life. Spending more quality time together, better diet, different work times, going to the gym, having fun times, travelling to get new experiences, having complete days of rest and relaxing. This year we've done them all.

So I'm feeling thankful, thankful that we made the effort to make the changes, to enjoy each other. So thankful for Rebekah's mum who has looked after Reuben through the year, so thankful for friends and family, so thankful to even be able to write this.

If there is one thing I've learnt this year, is don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. If you can fix or change something - do it. Bury the hatchet - if you had an argument that brough division with a loved one years ago and you're too proud to recover from your regret, change it. Pick up the phone, send an email, apologise for your part.

If you could fix three things right now, what would they be ? If you know, go do it. Be Blessed Carl.
